Hello again fellow practitioners of the path,
I wanted to share a little on my own philosophy of my own path. I was raised LDS. I left the church when I was ten. I soon fell in love wight he idea of the Law of Attraction/The Secret. If you are not familiar with these things, you should look into them. The human mind is strong, but sensitive. We let energies alter our lives, for better and for worse. For a good year or two I practiced using the law of attraction to get what I wanted out of life, and IT WORKED. I was soon introduced to the path by my aunt, Fen Lark, and I learned how to incorporate The Secret into my practice. It works so well together. As humans, we need a tangible ritual to feel like the energies we are trying to produce actually came out. It makes us BELIEVE more, which I believe is the key to magic. Magic - what an outstanding, powerful word. Everybody defines it so differently. Especially pagans. I think magic is energy to create something, anything, whether it be positive or negative. So anyway, after I was introduced to the craft, my aunts and I were blessed enough to come across our High Priestess, Lady Walking Turtle, and joined her coven. I have been a dedicate for about a year, and I have never been happier. Community is so important. And even though I am in a coven with a very specific philosophy of the craft, I think of it much differently still. One thing I love about the Craft is that you can believe what ever feels right to YOU. There is no bible to follow, just a few simple rules that don't chain your intuition down. For example, my coven believes in all gods and goddesses as beings. I do not. I believe in all the gods and goddesses, and I worship them, but I think of them as a specific type of energy, a strong one that is commonly found. Like the protective, masculine energy in the trees- Green Man. I think it is easier for the human brain to worship something personified, so we give it a name and a face, but I think this makes it slightly more fairy tale. The energies are undeniable. I can feel them. You can feel them. We experience the deity every single second of the day. We just need to learn to open our minds and souls to it, and embrace our gods and goddesses, our creators and protectors.
I hope you have enjoyed this little philosophy of the craft. I'm sorry that it was so all over the place. I hope I have opened your eyes, just a little to the possibility that maybe all you KNOW is wrong, but what you FEEL is right. Listen to your intuition. You know all the answers to the world. You just need to listen.
Again, I give free tarot readings on my instagram : Sara_Elf_Leaf .
